These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EchO (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use EchO.

Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use EchO. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the credentials associated with it. You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your contact details up to date.

How the Service Works

EchO provides AI-powered English speaking practice through real-time voice conversations. Your speech is converted to text, processed by AI models, and returned as dialogue, feedback, and notes. We use third-party AI services (including OpenAI) to power these features.

AI-Generated Content

All AI responses, corrections, and feedback are generated automatically and are intended for language learning purposes only. AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional language instruction, and we make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of AI responses.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use EchO for any purpose other than English language practice
  • Attempt to access the service using automated scripts at a rate that would degrade performance
  • Interfere with other users or the operation of the service
  • Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content through conversations

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Intellectual Property

EchO and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your conversation data and notes belong to you, but you grant us a limited license to process this data in order to provide the service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

EchO is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of EchO.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app message. Your continued use of EchO after the update becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms.
